Job DescriptionJob Description – Inclusive Education Program Manager
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Completion & Monitoring of IEPs
- Develop and oversee Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with special needs, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Monitor Screening & Functional Assessments (SFA) and facilitate follow-up action plans.
- Track and report measurable academic and functional improvement of children against IEP goals.
Capacity Building of Stakeholders
- Orient education officials on inclusive education approaches and practices.
- Sensitize elected representatives to promote inclusive practices within schools and communities.
- Train teachers on curriculum adaptation, classroom inclusion methods, and best practices in inclusive pedagogy.
- Strengthen the capacity of Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), Block Resource Persons (BRPs), and Block Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (BIERTs) in monitoring, mentoring, and resource facilitation.
- Conduct specialized training sessions for stakeholders supporting children with speech and hearing impairments, including ISL communication and child support.
Educational Resources, Awareness & Accessibility
- Organize inclusive camps and community engagement events to promote awareness and participation.
- Lead structured awareness programs across schools, engaging children, parents, and the community.
- Facilitate the provision of customized teaching and learning materials (TLMs) for children.
- Develop and distribute educational resources such as posters, books, and handouts to schools and parents.
- Ensure resource centers are equipped with therapy and educational materials to support inclusion.
Child Support & Monitoring
- Coordinate medical support, specialist consultations, and follow-up care for children with special needs.
- Facilitate access to aids and appliances including mobility, hearing, and assistive devices.
- Oversee regular provision of nutrition and hygiene support for children requiring additional care.
- Conduct and review IEPs directly and indirectly with the support of teachers and parents.
- Document child progress through assessments, reviews, and case studies.
- Organize review meetings and ensure timely submission of quality reports with evidence.
Monitoring, Documentation & Team Collaboration
- Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports.
- Document and share case studies for knowledge dissemination and best practice sharing.
- Facilitate review meetings, track action points, and ensure implementation.
- Strengthen team collaboration through joint planning, reviews, and integrated service delivery.
Teacher – Inclusive Education Support
Role Purpose
The teacher will play a key role in supporting children with special needs (CwSN) through individualized education plans, classroom inclusion, and collaboration with education stakeholders. The role requires commitment to inclusive practices, student progress monitoring, and strong teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Individualized Education & Student Support
- Support the preparation and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.
- Assist in conducting Screening & Functional Assessments (SFA) and implementing follow-up action plans.

- Collaborate with resource teachers, CRPs, BRPs, and BIERTs for guidance and support.
Awareness, Resources & Accessibility
- Participate in school-level awareness programs, engaging parents and the community to promote inclusion.
- Use and maintain customized teaching and learning materials (TLMs) to support children's educational needs.
- Help in ensuring accessibility of learning spaces and resources within the school.
Child Care & Wellbeing
- Provide basic support for children requiring aids, appliances, nutrition, and hygiene assistance.
- Work with health and support services to address children's medical and developmental needs.
- Maintain regular communication with parents to track progress and provide guidance for home-based support.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain updated student records, progress notes, and IEP documentation.
- Contribute to case studies and success stories demonstrating child progress.
- Attend review meetings, share updates, and support collaborative decision-making.
- Work as part of a school team to ensure inclusive practices are effectively implemented.
