Description
GlobalLogic is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient HD Maps Teamlead to support the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of high-definition (HD) maps for autonomous driving and ADAS applications. The ideal candidate will assist in managing mapping projects, coordinating teams, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting collaboration between cross-functional departments including engineering, GIS, QA, and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, GIS, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HD mapping, GIS, or related areas; experience in autonomous driving or ADAS is a strong plus.
• Experience with mapping tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
• Familiarity with HD map formats (e.g., OpenDRIVE, NDS, Lanelet2).
• Basic understanding of LiDAR, GPS, and sensor data integration.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, SQL) is a plus.
• Experience working with cloud-based GIS platforms or data pipelines is a plus.

Job responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing HD mapping projects including data collection, processing, annotation, and validation.
• Support project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation under the direction of the HD Maps Manager.
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., data acquisition, GIS, software, QA) to ensure smooth workflows.
• Monitor the quality of HD map data, perform QA reviews, and ensure data integrity and alignment with industry standards (e.g., OpenDRIVE, NDS).
• Help manage and maintain mapping tools, systems, and software platforms.
• Analyze issues in map data and work with relevant teams to resolve them quickly.
• Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and mapping standards.
• Train and support junior mapping team members and data annotators.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological developments in HD mapping and autonomous driving.
