About the Role:

The UnderGrads is looking for a dedicated and creative Social Media Manager to plan, execute, and manage our complete social media presence. This role involves content strategy, platform management, audience engagement, analytics, and brand building. It is ideal for undergraduates who want serious, full-time exposure to digital marketing and social media operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with company goals
  • Create monthly and weekly content calendars
  • Plan campaigns, launches, and promotional activities

2.⁠ ⁠Content Management

  • Write captions, hashtags, and content copies
  • Suggest reel/video ideas and trending formats
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, editors, and content writers
  • Ensure brand voice, consistency, and quality across platforms

3.⁠ ⁠Platform Handling

  • Manage platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook (and others if required)
  • Schedule posts, stories, reels, and updates
  • Maintain posting frequency and platform hygiene

4.⁠ ⁠Audience Engagement & Community Building

  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries
  • Build community engagement and brand trust
  • Handle basic customer interaction professionally

5.⁠ ⁠Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor insights, reach, engagement, and growth metrics
  • Prepare performance reports and improvement suggestions
  • Optimize content based on data and trends

6.⁠ ⁠Trend & Competitor Analysis

  • Stay updated with current social media trends and algorithm changes
  • Analyze competitors and suggest innovative ideas

Eligibility & Skills

  • Undergraduate student (any stream)
  • 1-2 years of experience (Freshers also welcome)
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, etc. (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
