Plc Operator

1. Operate and monitor ash handling systems (fly ash, bottom ath, and slurry systems) through PLC/DCS from the control room.

2. Coordinate with field operators and maintenance teams for the smooth functioning of ash evacuation processes.

3. Respond promptly to alarms and troubleshoot abnormal operating conditions to minimize downtime.

4. Maintain system logs, shift reports, and operational records as per standard operating procedures (50Ps)

5. Ensure optimal usage of resources and compliance with environmental norms and emission standards.

6. Monitor silo levels, compressors, HP/LP pumps, and ash slurry disposal parameters.

7. Follow safety procdures and actively participate in plant safety programs and audits.

8. Report any abnormalities, malfunctions, or near-miss incidents to the shift in charge.

9. Coordinate with other departments (boller, turbine, ESP, CHP) for operational synchronization.

10. Support in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC/DCS logic related to AHP.

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Hands-on experience in operating Siemens/ABB/GE/Allen-Bradley or equivalent PLC/DCS systems.

Knowledge of ash handling equipment like SSC, HP/LP slurry pumps, ESP happers, and hydro ejectors.

Familiarity with SCADA interfaces and real-time control monitoring systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and coordination abilities

Ability to work under pressure and in shift operations

Attention to detail and a proactive approach

Strong understanding of plant safety, emergency procedures, and operational discipline
