Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Exeperience:
5–8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in automation or machinery manufacturing.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative
Senior Design Engineer
to lead the design and development of automation systems and machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical and/or mechatronic system design, proficiency in CAD tools, and hands-on experience in the automation industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customized, high-performance solutions for industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design of automation systems, including conveyors, actuators, robotic arms, fixtures, and custom machinery.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, and technical documentation using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and controls engineering teams for mechatronic system integration.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance stack-up analysis, and risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA).
  • Ensure manufacturability, safety compliance, and cost-efficiency in all designs.
  • Review and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bill of Materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
  • Interface with vendors and production teams for prototyping and manufacturing.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
  • Stay current with automation industry trends, technologies, and safety standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in
    automation or machinery manufacturing
    .
  • Proficiency in
    CAD tools
    like SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of
    GD&T, DFMEA, motion systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
    .
  • Familiarity with design standards (e.g., ISO 12100, CE marking, ANSI, OSHA).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with
    PLM systems
    (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
  • Knowledge of
    robotic systems, PLC integration, or electrical panel layouts
    is a plus.
  • Exposure to
    simulation and FEA tools
    (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation).
  • Hands-on experience in assembly or commissioning of automation equipment.
