Role & responsibilities


• Integrate ESG eligibility criteria and impact indicators into credit screening and appraisal templates.

• Ensure ESG factors are appropriately reflected in credit memos, risk ratings and underwriting decisions.

• Define and capture ESG-related documentation and data, working with IT and Data Analytics teams to maintain traceability.

• Monitor ESG performance across the credit portfolio and escalate deviations.

• Serve as the central coordination point between various teams and ESG teams for alignment on eligibility criteria and impact indicators.

• Work with Business, Risk, Compliance, internal Audit, Policy and Admin to embed ESG requirements into controls and workflows.

• Coordinate with Product, Tech and Data Science IT teams for ESG data capture, dashboards and automation.

• Build internal capability by training underwriters and credit officers on ESG integration and tagging methodology.

• Support product teams in embedding ESG requirements into product features, pricing and customer communication.

• Maintain compliance with ESG-related regulations and internal policies, ensuring documentation remains audit ready.

• Support internal audits and regulatory reviews and facilitate timely remediation actions.

• Prepare disclosures and internal committee reports related to ESG tagging and portfolio insights.

Preferred candidate profile


• Post -Graduate in finance/Sustainability, Chartered Accountant or Inter Chartered Accountant with three to five years of relevant experience in credit underwriting, credit appraisal or risk management.

• Understanding of ESG-linked lending, Sustainable Finance principles and related frameworks is preferred. Advance excel with macros required. Knowledge of Power BI is added advantage.

• Strong foundation in credit analysis, financial statements and risk assessment. Familiarity with data governance and regulatory compliance.

• Ability to manage cross functional stakeholders with strong communication skills
