The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, post-treatment care, and preventive health measures.
  • Clinical Duties:
  • Prepare and maintain patient records and documentation.
  • Assist in medical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Ensure infection control practices are followed in all aspects of patient care.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records and information.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Professional Development:
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
  • Stay updated with the latest nursing practices and healthcare developments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Delhi Nursing Council (DNC).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
