Software Test Engineer

We are currently looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our engineering team and help us test and maintain software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Testing of high quality standards-compliant web applications and websites.
  • Testing of middleware APIs and multi-tier integration web services.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Development team to develop test plans.
  • Develop test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Execute test cases to ensure all features function as designed and intended.
  • Document and track defects using issue tracking systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to resolve issues and improve the quality of the product.

Requirements/Qualifications

Essential

  • (BE/BTech/MCA/ME/MTech) degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experienced candidates must have 2 years of application and/or middleware testing experience.
  • Good knowledge in at least one programming language used for web and/or mobile application development. Preferred language is C#.
  • Good knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed professional able to work in small teams.
  • Good analytical/debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Experience

  • Experience in automated testing tool - Cypress
  • Experience in N-tier web application development using ASP.NET Core / Spring / Play.
  • Experience in HTML/ CSS / Javascript/ TypeScript.
  • Experience in Angular / React / Vue
  • Experience with SQL Server / MySQL / Postgres / Oracle database development.
  • Experience with revision control and software engineering tools (SVN / Git).
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies
  • Experience in Continuous Integration, delivery and deployment practice
  • Good sense of user experience design is preferred.
