Contractual, remote role supporting content safety, community standards enforcement and quality assurance across digital products.

Standardized Title (high-performing): Content Moderator

Role & Responsibilities
  • Review and moderate user-generated content (text, images, short video, and metadata) against defined community guidelines and safety policies.
  • Classify, tag and escalate content accurately using moderation dashboards and internal workflows to ensure timely takedowns and actions.
  • Apply policy judgement consistently to complex or borderline cases and document rationale for audit and training purposes.
  • Operate within SLAs and KPI targets — maintain high accuracy, throughput and adherence to shift schedules for 24/7 coverage.
  • Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Legal and Product teams to surface recurring issues, policy gaps and content trends.
  • Contribute to quality assurance by participating in calibration exercises, feedback loops, and improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Proven experience in content moderation or content review for digital platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of community guidelines, safety policy application and takedown workflows.
  • Comfort moderating text and multimedia content (images and short-form video).
  • Familiarity with moderation tools and dashboards for tagging, escalation and reporting.
  • High attention to detail with ability to document case rationale and follow audit processes.
  • Ability to work remotely in India and reliably meet shift and SLA requirements for a contractual engagement.

Preferred

  • Experience with trust & safety or community operations on global platforms.
  • Exposure to analytics or basic reporting (KPI tracking, quality metrics).
  • Multilingual moderation capability or familiarity with regional content sensitivities.
