Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in buildings and industrial facilities.
  • Troubleshoot issues in existing electrical systems and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Install or repair wires and cables to provide power to buildings, machinery, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project teams to plan electrical layouts and system designs.
  • Install electrical devices such as panels, light fixtures, switches, thermostats, smoke detectors, intercoms, and other control systems.
  • Set up electrical equipment in commercial and industrial environments, including security systems, telephone lines, and computers.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical equipment such as motors, generators, breakers, transformers, wiring, and circuit boards.
  • Conduct testing to ensure all electrical systems and equipment function correctly after installation or repair.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components for safety, defects, and compliance with codes, while maintaining accurate records of findings and work performed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Wireman, Electrician, or in a similar electrical role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Skilled in using electrical tools, testing devices, and repair equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects.
  • Relevant technical training, certification, or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Work Environment

  • On-site work at residential, commercial, or industrial locations.
  • May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying weather conditions.
  • Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and compliance with electrical codes.
