Job Description – Service Technician

Role and Responsibilities

Provide technical support and maintenance services for machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues through effective troubleshooting and repair.
Install, configure, and test machinery to ensure smooth operation.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance machine performance.
Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding equipment use and problem-solving.
Assist in projects involving installation, servicing, and maintenance activities.
Analyse recurring technical problems and suggest long-term solutions.

Key Skills and Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of machinery, systems, and repair techniques.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication skills for both technical and non-technical interactions.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport.
Time management and organizational skills for handling multiple tasks.
Adaptability in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Hands-on experience with refrigeration/HVAC systems will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

ITI (Electrical/Wireman/Fitter) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

1–7 years of experience in the machinery/manufacturing industry.
