Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented
History Researcher

to join our interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for individuals with a deep-rooted interest in Indian history and a flair for evidence-based storytelling. The researcher will play a key role in enriching our History Experience Centre, publications, and knowledge-driven events with rigorous and engaging historical content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Deep Historical Research
  • Work extensively with historical texts, especially those based on
    epigraphic evidence, inscriptions, primary sources

, and archaeological data.
- Extract nuanced historical insights from classical and modern scholarly works.
- Develop Research Notes and Report
- Write well-structured research briefs, whitepapers, and content notes on historical themes.
- Ensure all outputs are appropriately referenced with
footnotes, bibliographies

, and citations from credible sources.
- Bridge Between Academia and Creative Content
- Collaborate with the content and creative teams to
interpret briefs

and align research with storytelling, exhibit planning, or narrative writing.
- Translate academic findings into accessible, engaging formats for public audiences.
- Support Experience Centre and Knowledge Initiatives
- Assist in the creation of research-backed exhibits, timelines, dioramas, and installations.
- Contribute to in-house
history magazine articles

, author original essays, and assist with editing contributions.
- Academic Outreach and Events
- Support the development of
seminars, lectures, and panel discussions

with relevant historical themes and resources.
- Prepare speaker notes, event briefs, and background material for guest historians and cultural scholars.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in
    History, Archaeology, Indology, or related disciplines

is preferred.
- Candidates from other academic backgrounds with demonstrated
passion for Indian history, research acumen

, and strong writing skills are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with historical methodologies, research databases, and source citation formats.
- Strong command of English (and optionally Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit) for drafting academic and creative documents.
