Role Overview

The
Studio Director – Hyderabad
is the creative, strategic, and operational leader of Zyeta's Hyderabad design studio.

This role demands a
strong designer first
, backed by the ability to manage multiple complex projects across all phases with speed, clarity, and accountability.

You will lead and mentor the studio team, drive design excellence, ensure seamless project execution, and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

You will work closely with Business Development (BD) and the
Client Success Officer (CSO)
who is the primary bridge between the firm and the client.

In some projects, you will be supported by the CSO; in others,
you will act as the CSO
, leading client management directly.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a high-performance, design-led environment and is passionate about delivering transformative workspace experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership & Design Excellence

• Lead the creative vision of the Hyderabad studio and uphold Zyeta's design standards across all projects as per Zyeta's vision.
• Oversee and guide concept development, narratives, storyboards, and design strategies.
• Elevate design quality at every stage, concept, schematic, DD, GFC, and handover.
• Ensure innovation, spatial intelligence, and technical rigor in all deliverables.

Studio Operations & Multi-Project Management

• Oversee and manage
  multiple projects simultaneously
  across different stages.
• Build strong planning, scheduling, and internal review systems to ensure predictable outcomes.
• Work cross-functionally with procurement, PM, design strategy, and finance to ensure seamless execution.
• Ensure that all project teams deliver on time, with clarity on scope, timelines, and milestones.
• Maintain proactive oversight on risks, constraints, and client dependencies.
• Drive ownership, discipline, execution and excellence within the studio.

Client Engagement & Collaboration with BD/CSO

• Partner with
  Business Development
  during pitches, presentations, and early client conversations.
• Collaborate closely with the
  Client Success Officer (CSO)
  who leads client communication and alignment.
• For selected projects, lead client conversations directly and
  act as the CSO
  — shaping expectations, managing updates, and ensuring clarity and satisfaction.
• Build strong client relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and consistent delivery.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Mentor designers across levels, helping them grow creatively and professionally.
• Build a high-performance studio culture defined by collaboration, accountability, and passion for design.
• Allocate resources effectively across projects and ensure teams work with clarity and focus.
• Conduct design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure strong detailing and documentation.

Business & Strategic Impact

• Support BD in pitches, proposals, and strategic pursuits.
• Drive innovation in design thinking, studio processes, and delivery models.
• Ensure financial discipline across design hours, budgets, and resource utilization.
• Strengthening Zyeta's design reputation in the Hyderabad region through leadership presence and industry engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years
  of experience in interior design/architecture, with strong exposure to workplace design.
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture – or you are someone who just did this because you could irrespective of your degree, education and back ground.
• Prior leadership experience in a top-tier design or design-build firm.
• Strong proficiency in Revit preferably.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Strong presentation, communication, and client-handling skills.
