JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title Manager Role Type Individual Contributor Company EXL Service Grade / Level C1 Division / Department Office of Chief of Staff to EVP & Chief Growth & Strategy Office Location India/US Reporting to SAVP, Chief of Staff to EVP & Chief Growth & Strategy Office JOB PURPOSE & SUMMARY The Manager, Chief of Staff – Growth & Strategy Office (CGSO) will collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff (CoS) to support the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer (CGO) and the executive leadership team. This includes driving the execution of strategic initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and fostering alignment across departments. The individual will serve as a key support figure to both the CGSO and Senior Leadership Team, managing strategic projects, communications, and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, the manager will oversee critical projects and initiatives for the Growth Markets IMU, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with broader organizational objectives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive strategic outcomes and support the CGSO in achieving key goals for the Growth Markets IMU. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, and program management skills, with a background in strategy and business operations. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Strategic Project & Program Support Work closely with the Chief of Staff to help manage and track the execution of key growth strategies and initiatives across the organization. Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that strategic projects are completed on time and meet business objectives. Assist in defining and managing timelines, resources, and deliverables for key growth initiatives. 2. Operational Coordination & Process Improvement Ensure smooth operational processes within the CGSO and Growth Markets IMU by tracking progress against strategic goals and assisting in problem-solving to remove roadblocks. Develop and maintain clear communication and reporting systems to track the status of projects and strategic objectives. Contribute to optimizing internal workflows to increase the team's efficiency and impact. 3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Collaborate with internal teams, senior leadership, and business units to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on strategic priorities. Prepare presentation materials, meeting agendas, and follow-up action items for the Chief of Staff and CGO. Assist in drafting internal and external communications for the CGO's office, ensuring they align with the broader strategy and tone of the organization. 4. Data Analysis & Reporting Conduct secondary research on market trends, competitor activity, and industry benchmarks to support strategic decisions. Analyze key performance metrics related to growth strategies and assist the Chief of Staff in reporting results to senior leadership. Assist in building and maintaining KPIs and dashboards to monitor the success of key strategic projects. 5. Project Monitoring & Follow-Up Lead the coordination and follow-up of key action items from executive meetings, ensuring accountability and timely execution. Track and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to the Chief of Staff. Assist in managing any emerging priorities or urgent strategic requests from the CGO's office or Growth Markets IMU. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a liaison between the Chief of Staff and other departments to ensure that key initiatives are progressing as planned. Collaborate with business unit leaders, marketing, and operations teams to facilitate cross-functional alignment and to ensure proper execution of projects. Support cross-departmental meetings and initiatives to ensure alignment on the company's growth agenda. KEY EXPECTATIONS Strong organizational and project management skills to ensure that all initiatives are well-coordinated and executed. Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and drive projects to completion. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely. Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders and other key stakeholders. Focus on detail, accuracy, and consistency in all communications and deliverables. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Technical Skills Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Comfortable with data analysis and creating reports or dashboards. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira) is good to have, but not mandatory. Soft Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with senior leaders and internal teams. Analytical and problem-solving mindset to navigate complex projects. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle ambiguity with a solution-oriented approach. Competencies Strategic Thinking: Ability to align day-to-day activities with long-term strategic goals. Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects, with an ability to coordinate across functions. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in preparing presentations and reports.
