We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commis - Culinary to join our team at Marriott International. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and hospitality, with excellent cooking skills and attention to detail.
Roles and Responsibility
- Assist the Chef de Partie in planning and preparing high-quality dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Prepare and cook various courses, including starters, main courses, and desserts.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring minimal waste and optimal usage.
- Develop new recipes and menus to enhance the dining experience.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commis or similar role in a professional kitchen setup.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and menu planning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a flexible approach.
