Data Scientist to drive innovation in Claims Analytics and AI-driven solution development. Leading a team of talented data scientists, this role will design, develop, and operationalise advanced AI and analytics solutions that optimise claims performance and deliver measurable business value.

The successful candidate will be a visionary and technically outstanding data scientist with a proven ability to lead complex initiatives from concept to delivery. They will inspire innovation, uplift capability across the team, and shape the strategic direction of AI within the organisation to enable smarter, faster, and more data-driven decisions. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, actuaries, underwriters, and operations teams to translate business needs into scalable, production-ready AI and analytics solutions.

Functional Experience (12 Years)Over 10 years of experience in Insurance Data Science, AI/ML solution development, and Advanced Analytics, with strong domain expertise in claims lifecycle analytics including triaging, severity, settlement, subrogation, and process optimisation. Data Science Experience Proven track record of delivering AI/ML solutions that improve claims efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction. Hands-on experience in developing end-to-end ML pipelines, model deployment (MLOps), and performance monitoring.

Strong proficiency in NLP, computer vision, and GenAI applications on unstructured insurance data (e.g., claims notes, medical/legal documents).Experience in building AI-powered solutions such as recommendation systems, copilots, and decision support tools. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior and senior data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Analytics

ExperienceAdvanced analytics for claims leakage, settlement accuracy, and portfolio optimisation. Experience in financial and operational analysis to improve P&L performance and efficiency. Collaboration with actuarial and risk teams to integrate claims data into reserving, pricing, and loss ratio models. Partnered with cross-functional stakeholders to drive AI adoption across insurance, finance, and risk functions.

Key Responsibilities Claims Analytics Develop predictive models for claims triaging, severity, settlement forecasting, subrogation, and litigation outcomes. Apply NLP techniques to extract insights from claim notes, adjuster comments, and supporting documents. Conduct advanced analytics to improve claims lifecycle performance and reduce operational leakage.Support actuarial and pricing teams by integrating claims intelligence into risk and performance models.AI-driven Solution DevelopmentLead the design and development of AI-driven solutions that enhance claims operations and decision-making. Build recommendation systems, automation tools, and optimisation models to streamline claims processes.
