Position :- Director / Senior Director - Maintenance

Location: Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore

We are seeking a high-impact, results-driven Director / Senior Director of Maintenance to lead and elevate our maintenance strategy across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader and hands-on executor, capable of driving continuous improvement, maximizing asset performance, and building a culture of excellence and accountability.

Job Description :-

Maintenance Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategies aligned with production and AkshayaPatra operational objectives.
  • Drive a world-class preventive and predictive maintenance program using CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
  • Champion Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the organization

Team & Organizational Leadership:

  • Lead a team of maintenance managers, engineers, supervisors, and technicians across shifts at AkshayaPatra multiple sites.
  • Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture through coaching, training, and mentoring within AkshayaPatra maintenance teams.
  • Partner closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure maintenance alignment with organisation large-scale meal production goals.

Asset Management & Reliability:

  • Own plant-wide asset management practices at AkshayaPatra, including equipment lifecycle management, root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across organisation facilities to reduce equipment downtime and enhance production reliability.

Capital Projects & Upgrades:

  • Support and lead capital improvement projects at AkshayaPatra, including kitchen facility upgrades, new equipment installations, and automation enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management teams to manage project scope, timelines, and budgets aligned with AkshayaPatra mission and scale.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage AkshayaPatra maintenance departments annual budget (CAPEX/OPEX), ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
  • Identify cost savings through energy efficiency, vendor negotiation, and strategic sourcing of parts and services in line with Organisation sustainability initiatives.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure maintenance activities at AkshayaPatra facilities comply with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintain and audit maintenance records, permits, and safety documentation as required by law and internal policies.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Drive adoption of CMMS / EAM systems, data analytics, and automation technologies across AkshayaPatra kitchens and plants to improve predictive maintenance and asset reliability.

Others :-

  • 25+ years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing settings.
  • 10+ years in senior leadership roles managing large teams across multiple sites.
  • Education - BE / Masters - Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or a related technical discipline.
  • Deep understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Extensive experience in CMMS/EAM systems, reliability engineering, and condition-based monitoring (CBM).
