Job Summary:

The KYC Auditor is responsible for reviewing and verifying customer records to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal Know Your Customer (KYC) policies. The role involves auditing client documentation, identifying discrepancies, assessing risk levels, and ensuring that all client information meets compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed audits of customer KYC files to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Verify identity documents, proof of address, and other required information.

Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CFT (Counter Financing of Terrorism) regulations.

Identify and report gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information in KYC documentation.

Maintain accurate records and audit reports for management review.

Provide feedback and recommendations for improving KYC processes and controls.

Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to resolve discrepancies.

Stay updated with regulatory changes and company policies related to KYC and AML.

Participate in periodic internal or external compliance reviews.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Prior experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, or Auditing roles preferred.

Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements (RBI, SEBI, FATCA, etc.).

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Good communication and reporting abilities.

Proficient in MS Office and compliance/audit software tools.

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Work Environment:

Office or hybrid setup in financial institutions, banks, or investment firms.

May require periodic reporting to senior compliance officers or auditors.
