Role Description

The Junior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Mumbai. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting tasks such as maintaining financial records, handling accounts receivable and payable, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits. The Junior Accountant will ensure compliance with financial regulations, support month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data. Attention to detail and effective communication will be essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of accounting software and tools, with expertise in MS Excel
  • Understanding of tax regulations, audits, and compliance processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage
  • Prior experience in the interior design or construction industry is a plus
