Senior Manager - Solar Design & Engineering
Role Overview:
As the Senior Manager of Engineering at WRS, you will lead the engineering department, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of solar PV systems, focusing on both large rooftop and open-access utility-scale projects. This role demands an exceptional leader with a proven track record in the solar industry, capable of driving engineering excellence across various projects while fostering innovation and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategic Oversight
: Lead the solar engineering teams, setting strategic goals and ensuring they align with the company's objectives. Supervise senior engineers and project managers, and oversee the development and execution of engineering strategies. - Project Management and Execution
: Ensure all solar projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Streamline processes for project tracking and engineering. - Technical and Compliance Expertise
: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and regulations. Ensure all designs meet high standards of quality and comply with local and international regulations. Manage documents for liaison processes with MSEDCL and other regulatory bodies. - Stakeholder Engagement
: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance project outcomes. Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure timely completion of projects. - Reporting and Documentation
: Generate comprehensive sales, marketing dashboards, and detailed engineering reports. Present progress and strategic insights to senior management and stakeholders. - Innovation and Research
: Drive initiatives to research new technologies and innovative practices in the solar field. Encourage the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices within project designs.
Qualifications:
- Experience
: 4-6 years of design and management experience in the solar industry, with extensive knowledge in solar PV, civil & electrical design, including HT & switchyard design. - Education
: Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or renewable energy are preferred. - Skills
: Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and interact with stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software. - Personal Qualities
: High attention to detail, ability to think strategically, and adaptability to dynamic project requirements. Passion for sustainability and innovation in renewable energy.
