This is a full-time on-site role for an Embedded Software Engineer located in Thane. Dedicated and experienced Yocto Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and Linux distribution development. Seeking a challenging position to apply my expertise in Yocto Project, kernel customization, and system integration.

· Proficient in building custom Linux distributions using Yocto Project and Open Embedded

· Expertise in kernel configuration, patching, and development for embedded systems.· Strong knowledge of cross-compilation and toolchain setup.

· Hands-on experience board bring up.

· Skilled in system integration, hardware bring-up, and debugging.

· Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and Perl.

· Familiar with version control systems like Git.

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Professional Experience:·

Led the development and customization of Yocto-based Linux distributions for embedded systems.

· Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and design specifications.

· Conducted kernel configuration and driver development to support various hardware components.

· Resolved system integration issues and provided technical support during product testing.

Optimized build processes, resulting in reduced build times and improved system performance.· Worked on performance tuning and debugging of Linux kernel and user-space applications.· Maintained and updated project documentation, including build recipes and Yocto layers.Provided training and support to junior engineers in Yocto and embedded Linux development.· Implemented software updates and patches, ensuring system security and stability.· Collaborated with hardware engineers to perform hardware bring-up and verification.· Assisted in system testing and debugging, identifying and resolving issues.· Participated in code reviews and version control management using Git.· Automated repetitive tasks using scripting languages, improving development efficiency.
