The Team Leader is responsible for supervising and executing troubleshooting and maintenance activities for rolling stock systems. This role ensures timely fault diagnosis, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance to maintain fleet reliability and safety. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in rolling stock maintenance, with strong leadership and technical skills.

Technical Operations:

  • Lead a team of technicians in performing fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance on metro trains.
  • Oversee troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and operational standards.
  • Review fault logs and analyse recurring issues to recommend long-term solutions.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:

  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance tasks as per OEM and depot guidelines.
  • Supervise corrective actions for breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Validate maintenance records and ensure proper documentation of work done.

Team Supervision & Coordination:

  • Allocate tasks and monitor performance of maintenance staff.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., operations, quality, stores) for smooth workflow.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during maintenance activities.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO, IRIS, and other relevant standards.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare daily maintenance reports, fault analysis summaries, and shift handover notes.
  • Maintain records of spare parts usage and requisition needs.
  • Support audits and inspections by internal and external agencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rolling stock maintenance (metro, rail, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with propulsion systems, braking systems, HVAC, and train control systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
