Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines on the GCP.
  • Hands on experience on GCP services such as BigQuery, Jitterbit, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage to build efficient data processing solutions.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain data models and schemas that support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot data quality issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay updated on the latest data engineering trends and technologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • GCP certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer) or Jitterbit certification.

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer using cloud technologies (GCP preferable).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and BigQuery (preferable).
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion, transformation, and loading using cloud-based Data Engineering services.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
  • Experience with data modeling and schema design.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
