Role & responsibilities :

Hostel Warden :

Minimum Experience : 3years to 5years

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Operations:
  • Oversee all day-to-day hostel operations, including cleaning and maintenance.
  • Manage hostel staff, including hiring, training, and performance.
  • Safety & Security:
  • Ensure the safety and security of all hostel students.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and ensure security & safety at hostel .
  • Respond to emergencies and crises.
  • Student Welfare & Discipline:
  • Enforce hostel rules situations including disciplinary situations, sickness /hospitalization of students etc and regulations consistently.
  • Provide guidance, counseling, and support to students.
  • Mediate conflicts and address student concerns.
  • Maintain records of student attendance, behavior, and incidents.
  • Administration & Maintenance:
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff for upkeep and repairs of hostel facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hostel activities.
  • Manage administrative tasks, such as room allotments and guest registers.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Organize recreational activities to promote a positive and engaged environment for students.

Serve as a liaison between students and institutional administration:

  1. Facilitate students admissions at hostel

2.Maintain students personal files comprising students information ,fee payment, disciplinary action taken etc.

3.Maintain record of damages done by students at hostel & recovery of damages done by students at hostel & recovery & damages from students.

4.Processing hostel caution money deposit after applicable deductions

5.Montoring entry & exit timings at hostel students.

6.Attend hostel & mess committee meeting & provide necessary inputs during meeting

7.Submission of timely updates including admissions vacancies fee payments room allotment etc to hostel secretariat at SOES office.

8 Allotment & Monitoring of duties of hostel attendants.

9.Co ordination with external hostel vendors wherein university students are residing

10.Surprise inspection of mess in order to ensure hygiene & cleanliness.

11.Regular co ordination with health Centre doctor to ensure availability of essential medicines on university campus and in case of emergency health condition of students.
