Finance Team Specialist - AP

Work Schedule: Standard Meriplex business hours of Monday Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a flexible schedule to accommodate volume.

Travel: Travel required, estimated 0%

Ramp Up Period: 6 weeks

Position Summary: The AP Specialist reports to the Accounting Manager, AP and is responsible for following processes to ensure efficient accounting (AP) with accurate documentation and proactive communication. The position will assist with AP Processing, cash flow forecasts and month end close.

Key Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • Accurately determine and enter coding for vendor invoices.
  • Monitor AP mailbox for invoice. Escalate concerns as appropriate. Including being the point of contact for assigned vendors for any past due action items.
  • Review and process approved invoices daily.
  • Maintain communication with Vendors to get regular account statement to perform vendor reconciliation.
  • Communicate with internal departments as needed on AP.
  • Participation in external audits as requested by AP Manager and/or other leadership within the Finance team including research on past records/ transactions and responding to external auditor inquires as directed.
  • Act in accordance with Meriplex mission and values.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors:

  • Detail oriented and highly accurate data entry
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with strong customer service skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in computer-based software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, systematic and quality-conscious work ethic

Education/ Experience:

  • BBA, B.com, M.com, MBA or Ca Inter
  • 3+ years of related accounts payable experience.
  • NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • N/A

Physical Demands:

Sedentary Work Exerts up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
