Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating written content from one language to another, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance. This role requires a strong command of multiple languages, particularly English, along with excellent communication and writing skills. The Translator will play a crucial role in bridging language barriers and facilitating effective communication across diverse audiences.

Duties

  • Translate documents, articles, and other written materials from source languages to target languages while maintaining the original meaning and context.
  • Proofread and edit translations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Provide interpretation services during meetings or conferences as needed.
  • Transcribe audio or video content into written format in the target language.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Conduct research on cultural nuances and linguistic variations to enhance translation quality.
  • Maintain a glossary of terms for consistency across projects.

Skills

  • Proficiency in multiple languages with a strong emphasis on English; bilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
  • Excellent translation skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills to convey messages accurately in both written and spoken forms.
  • Experience in proofreading and editing translated materials for clarity and correctness.
  • Knowledge of interpretation techniques for real-time communication support.
  • Familiarity with transcription processes for converting audio content into text.
  • Background in linguistics or relevant field is preferred; previous experience as a linguist is a plus.
