Plant Head – Agribusiness

The Plant Head will oversee the overall management, production, and operational efficiency of the Agribusiness manufacturing plant. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality output, cost-effective production, safety compliance, and continuous improvement in processes to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:1. Plant Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of the plant including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and dispatch.
• Plan, organize, and execute production schedules to meet targets and market demand.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

2. Production Planning & Control

• Develop and implement production plans aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to production standards and timelines.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for timely availability of raw materials.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and statutory regulations (FCO, Pollution Control, Factory Act, etc.).
• Maintain ISO / GMP / HACCP standards where applicable.
• Drive initiatives for process improvement and product quality enhancement.

4. People Management

• Lead, train, and motivate plant staff to achieve performance goals.
• Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and support employee development.

5. Cost & Efficiency Control

• Monitor plant expenses and work towards cost optimization in production and maintenance.
• Identify areas for reducing waste and improving productivity.
• Implement lean manufacturing and energy-saving initiatives.

6. Safety, Health & Environment

• Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to EHS standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and employee awareness programs.
• Ensure proper waste management and pollution control measures.

7. Coordination & Reporting

• Collaborate with corporate functions such as Sales, Finance, HR, and R&D for seamless operations.
• Prepare and present MIS reports on production, quality, costs, and manpower utilization.
• Represent the plant in management reviews and audits.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial / Agriculture Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 10–15 years in agribusiness or fertilizer / agrochemical / seed / feed manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong exposure to production planning, plant maintenance, quality systems, and manpower management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,800, ₹2,100,569.31 per year
