Role & responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Assist in manpower planning in coordination with department heads.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant and office staff sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Maintain updated manpower reports and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies.

2. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement

  • Support in maintaining healthy employee relations.
  • Handle grievance redressal, counseling, and disciplinary procedures in coordination with HR Manager.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and cultural programs.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws (Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc.).
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure statutory compliance for contract labour.
  • Prepare and maintain statutory records, registers, and returns as per legal requirements.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies during audits and inspections.

4. Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and behavioral training programs.
  • Maintain training records and evaluate post-training effectiveness.
  • Support in developing competency-based development programs for employees.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing / steel / heavy engineering industry.
