Your Impact
The OpenText Vertica provides a state-of-the-art Big Data Analytics platform that handles petabytes of data. It is a commercially successful, high performance, distributed database. Every industry is finding ways to benefit from data analytics. We continue to engineer our product to be flexible so that it supports all of them. Vertica is a recognized leader in analytics powering some of the world's most data driven organizations like Uber, Wayfair, Intuit, Cerner, and more. Our columnar, MPP, distributed database delivers unprecedented speed, petabyte scale, with analytics and machine learning functions built into the core.
You Are Great At
- Produce high quality code according to design specifications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix highly complex code defects.
- Propose creative solutions or alternatives balancing risk, complexity, and effort to meet requirements.
- Work across teams and functional roles to ensure interoperability among other products, including training and consultation.
- Participate in the software development process from design to release in an Agile Development Framework.
What It Takes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of product development experience.
- Strong programming experience in any language.
- Extensive knowledge on AWS platform and its services like Storage, EKS, Network and deployment.
- Excellent knowledge of Webservices and underlying architecture.
- Strong design principles knowledge and their application.
- Fundamentally good programming and debugging skills.
- Strong hands-on experience with building enterprise applications
- Good experience in Server and Client-side technologies
- Contribute to the continual improvement of our agile development processes
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on processes and code.
- Experience working with groups of people across several geographies
- Excellent communication and time management skills
