About the Role

The right person for this position should have 6-9 years of experience in Embedded systems. He/She should be passionate, tech savvy, academically sound, have interest in embedded devices and technologies that drive the headless domain.

Responsibilities

  1. Exposure to Microcontroller/Microprocessor Architecture /Family e.g. ARM Cortex, Microchip,

Xtensa ESP32, TI CC32XX, Raspberry PI, iMX series, RISC V

  1. Knowledge of any RTOS - FreeRTOS, uC OS, EmbOSs, VxWorks, QNX

  2. Knowledge of embedded linux, device driver concepts and inter process communication

  3. Knowledge of Build toolchains and framework such as IAR, GCC, Keil, Mplab, Build root, Yocto

  4. Knowledge of Microcontroller peripherals and drivers e.g. ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN,

RS485, DMA, Ethernet, SD/eMMC, SDIO, UFS

  1. Understanding of different types of analog & digital sensors and their qualification/verification

process

  1. Knowledge of different types of motor control drivers and its working

  2. Knowledge of RF protocols WIFI, Zigbee, Bluetooth/BLE, IoT Cellular is a plus

  3. Knowledge of networking concepts like OSI layers, embedded TCP/IP stacks and common IP

protocols is a plus

  1. Knowledge of IoT communication protocols MQTT, COAP, AMQP is a plus

  2. DFMA and DFMEA, Design release process

  3. Coding standards, guidelines, and compliance tools

  4. Version control and repositories using git tools

  5. Software quality assurance and automated testing tools

Experience / Skills:

  1. Reverse engineering

  2. Maintain, support & troubleshoot products already in production

  3. Embedded software design cycle

  4. Documenting Software Design (flow charts, state diagram, logic design, analysis,

implementation, debugging and testing etc)

  1. Good hands-on programming in Embedded C, C++

  2. Programming in scripting languages such as batch, shell, python, Nodejs is a plus.

  3. Experience with AWS/Google cloud for device connectivity. Exposure to IoT cloud services. e.g.

AWS IoT is a plus.

  1. Protocol debugging using protocol analyzer

  2. Understanding of Schematic/ Hardware design around microcontrollers like ST, TI, Atmel,

Microchip, ARM core

  4. Project Engineer / leader from BUs across Pentair.

  5. External vendors and suppliers

Preferred candidate profile

Must be M.Tech/B.Tech in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering from a good Engineering College with the following added requirements
