Role : Lead Engineer Manufacturing Supply Chain

Job Location : Bangalore

Experience Level : years

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to be a part of manufacturing supply chain for Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This role involves end-to-end supplier development, procurement, manufacturing oversight, and quality assurance

Roles & Responsilbilities:

  • Manage local and international supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with aerospace quality standards.
  • Ability to review supplier quotation, accuracy, technical alignment, and cost competitiveness, negotiating pricing, lead times, and contract terms to meet project and margin targets.
  • Oversee supplier audits, onboarding, and qualification processes based on AS9100, and program-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), including dimensional reports, certs, and traceability documentation.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and preferred supplier lists to optimize cost, quality, and lead time for various GSE components and assemblies.
    • Drive process improvements, lead-time reductions, and cost-saving initiatives across the supplier network through proactive supply chain interventions.
  • Implement supplier performance metrics (KPIs) and maintain dashboards for quality, delivery, and capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace documentation standards, including CoCs, raw material traceability, and special process records.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits related to supply chain, production, and quality, supporting both regulatory and customer expectations.
  • Support risk mitigation plans and supply continuity through alternate sourcing, inventory planning, and change management strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications


• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).


• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management within aerospace or highprecision manufacturing.


• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Lean principles, and Just-in-Time (JIT) practices.


• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance in aerospace.
