Role & responsibilities
- Finalization of Balance Sheet, P&L, and financial statements
- Costing, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control
- GST, Income Tax, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Liaison with auditors, consultants, and authorities
- Lead finance team and support management in financial planning
Books of Accounts
- Oversee the application of industry best practices as well as company procedures & SOPs for the preparation of monthly Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and performance report along with per unit costs for each department.
- Share the relevant reports with top management as and when requested.
- Review all books of accounts and reports on a monthly basis to tally the ledgers and for Final Accounts Coordination. Conduct internal audits if any discrepancies in the records are found.
- Assist all Internal & External Auditors with resolving any queries related to company's books of accounts and keep all top management involved in the process
- Receive, validate, and incorporate all bank accounts Reconciliation data from the Banking & Insurance team within the monthly books of accounts
- Fulfil any other duties or tasks requested by senior & top management.
- Cost Calculations
- Receive the Monthly Stock Report and validate all monthly stock assessments performed by the Physical Stock Verification Manager & Costing Team with the entries made in all books of accounts as well as in SAP systems.
- Receive and assess the operating costs increments along with the reasoning for the same to identify trends in deviances.
- Review all figures, including assumptions (market prices for raw material, finished goods, etc.) and validate the final report accordingly.

Income Tax Calculations
- Validate and approve the calculation of monthly TDS return & tax payments figures for all company employees and contractors
- Oversee the employee participation in submission of annual tax declaration, submission of annual tax returns documentation, and in collection of relevant documents for the same
- Oversee the timely calculation, preparation, and disbursal of Form 16 to all employees.
Preferred candidate profile :
Qualification: CA Experience: years in Finance, with 5+ years in senior role (steel/manufacturing)
Skills: Strong in costing, taxation, compliance, ERP & MIS, leadership and decision-making ability
