  • Safety Compliance & Implementation:
  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act, OSH, and other statutory requirements.
  • Implement company safety policies, SOPs, and safety management systems.
  • Conduct daily safety rounds in production, QC, warehouse, utilities, and engineering areas.
  • Risk Management & Hazard Control:
  • Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments (HIRA, JSA).
  • Monitor handling of hazardous chemicals, solvents, and flammable materials.
  • Ensure proper usage and availability of PPE across departments.
  • Training & Awareness:
  • Conduct safety induction and refresher training for employees and contract workers.
  • Organize mock drills for fire safety, chemical spill, and emergency preparedness.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through awareness programs.
  • Incident Management:
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices; implement CAPA.
  • Maintain accident/incident reports and statutory records.
  • Audits & Inspections:
  • Support internal and external EHS audits, ISO 45001, and regulatory inspections.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections of plant, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
  • Ensure readiness of fire-fighting equipment, alarms, and emergency exits.
  • Act as safety coordinator during emergencies and drills.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain safety permits (hot work, confined space, height work, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly safety reports and present to management.
  • Ensure documentation of statutory records (Form 11, accident registers, etc.).
