Job Summary:

The VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Vertical Machining Centres to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires technical knowledge of machining processes, tools, and CNC programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate VMC machines (Fanuc, Siemens, or other controllers).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and process sheets.
  • Load programs, set tool offsets, and adjust machine parameters for accurate machining.
  • Perform tool changes, fixture setups, and machine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, dimensional errors, or surface finish

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Tool & Die Making.

  • Experience: 4–5 years of experience operating VMC machines.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of CNC programming
  • Experience with tools, jigs, and fixtures.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
