Job Summary: As an Area Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and sales performance of five Skechers stores located in the Bangalore region. You will play a crucial role in driving sales achieving targets and maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership skills strong business acumen and a passion for the retail industry.
Responsibilities: 1. Manage and supervise the overall operations of five Skechers stores within the Bangalore region ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 2. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and achieve store targets. 3. Monitor and analyze sales performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate action plans. 4. Provide guidance training and support to store managers and their teams ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional customer service. 5. Conduct regular store visits to assess store conditions visual merchandising standards and inventory management. 6. Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure consistent brand representation and adherence to visual standards across all stores. 7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with mall management and other key stakeholders in the retail industry. 8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends competitor activities and market conditions providing insights and recommendations to senior management. 9. Manage and allocate resources effectively including staffing budgeting and inventory control. 10. Conduct performance evaluations for store managers identifying areas of improvement and providing constructive feedback.
Requirements: 1. Bachelor s degree in business administration retail management or a related field. 2. Proven experience as an area manager or in a similar retail management role preferably in the footwear or fashion industry. 3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve targets. 6. Sound knowledge of retail operations visual merchandising and inventory management. 7. Familiarity with Bangalore s retail landscape and customer preferences. 8. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software. 9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 10. Flexibility to travel between stores within the Bangalore region.
