Factory Manager

Job Title: Factory & Production Manager – Interior Fit-out

Reporting To: Director

Key Responsibilities: Factory & Production Management

• Oversee daily operations of the factory, ensuring smooth workflow in all production activities.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Manage workforce allocation, productivity, and efficiency of carpentry and finishing teams.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of raw materials (plywood, multiwood, laminates, hardware, etc.).
• Maintain records of production output, wastage, and material consumption.

Production Knowledge & Technical Expertise

• Interpret production drawings and convert them into accurate cutting lists.
• Supervise manufacturing of furniture, joinery, and fit-out elements as per design specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to carpentry, polishing, and assembly teams.
• Ensure proper usage of machines, tools, and equipment for woodworking and finishing.
• Optimize production methods to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.

Quality Control (QC) & Compliance

• Implement strict QC checks at every stage – cutting, assembly, finishing, and packing.
• Ensure adherence to design, dimensions, finishing, and installation quality.
• Conduct inspections and approve finished products before dispatch.
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with company standards.

Interior Fit-out & Site Coordination

• Coordinate with site teams to ensure factory production aligns with site requirements.
• Plan dispatch schedules and monitor installation support from the factory.
• Address technical challenges in fit-out execution and provide practical solutions.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out works, furniture production, joinery, and carpentry techniques.
• Expertise in plywood, Multiwood, laminates, veneers, and modular furniture production.
• Proficiency in cutting list preparation and production drawing interpretation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD / similar software for drawing review and technical checks.
• Knowledge of factory machinery, tools, and equipment used in woodworking and finishing.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, finishing techniques, and installation methods.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate factory staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Civil, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in interior fit-out / furniture production factory.
• Proven experience in factory management, production planning, QC, and team handling.
