Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Western Dance Teacher (PRT level) to introduce and teach students various Western dance forms. The candidate should have a strong foundation in dance, the ability to choreograph engaging routines, manage classroom behavior effectively, and foster a love for performing arts among young learners.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Teach and train students in different Western dance forms such as Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Freestyle, and Funk.
  • Design age-appropriate lesson plans and choreographies for events, assemblies, and annual functions.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline while ensuring a joyful and safe learning environment.
  • Encourage creativity, expression, and confidence among students through movement-based learning.
  • Coordinate with other faculty members for school functions, stage performances, and inter-school competitions.
  • Prepare students for internal and external dance performances and assessments.
  • Maintain student progress records and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of dance equipment and space.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Performing Arts / Dance / Fine Arts or equivalent certification in Western dance forms.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in teaching dance to school students (preferably at the primary level).
  • Sound knowledge of various Western dance styles and choreography techniques.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
