Job Description
Job Title: Area Sales Manager
Compensation : Up to 15 LPA (including 25% variable)
Job Locations : Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal/Indore, Gandhinagar/Baroda, Vizag, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Bangalore
Work Mode: 100% Travelling (approx. 4 days per week)
Interview Process : 1st round Virtual, Final round as per candidate's location
Position Overview
We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Managers to join our high-growth journey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the achievement of our Annual Business Plan by expanding distribution, increasing visibility, and boosting market share across assigned regions. This role requires strong leadership, strategic execution, and the ability to manage large-scale sales and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage sales & distribution for the assigned region in the Agency Business.
Set region-specific sales targets aligned with the Annual Business Plan.
Break down annual targets into monthly, weekly, and daily goals for effective execution.
Define and allocate sales territories; coordinate and guide field teams for maximum coverage.
Develop and implement channel-specific strategies to drive visibility, volume, and growth.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and identify emerging business opportunities.
Conduct regular business reviews (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) to assess progress.
Collaborate with Finance teams to monitor topline growth and profitability against budgets.
Focus primarily on traditional agency channels while exploring new distribution avenues.
Prepare and deliver detailed sales performance reports to senior leadership.
Requirements
Experience
: 5–7 years in Sales & Distribution with proven expertise in Agency Sales (Health or General Insurance).
Education
: Graduate (MBA preferred).
Skills & Competencies
Proven success in leading large agency sales teams and achieving ambitious targets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Solution-oriented, detail-focused, and deadline-driven.
