- As a Senior SAM (Software Asset Management) Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of SAM practice. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with licensing agreements by leveraging inventory and licensing data from the SAM tool. You will also manage and optimize the software assets use within the organization. Joining this team offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization's software governance, cost optimization, and compliance efforts, playing a critical role in ensuring our software assets are well-managed and aligned with business needs. Your Role Responsible for the governance (contractual compliance) of all aspects of the license management function throughout the software asset lifecycle. Manage On-prem and SaaS software licenses across the organization. Implement SAM strategies, policies, and goals for the SAM program in alignment with the company's objectives. Perform periodic audits as well as engage in other internal and external audits. Proactively reaches out to users to rectify non-compliance with software license usage. Work with Procurement, Engineering, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of the SAM data (inventory, license entitlements). Work with third-party providers for the Software Asset Management program. Respond to requests and ad-hoc queries from end users, internal stakeholders, and business partners. Take actions for out-of-stock, out-of-compliance, and end-of-life software. Track software renewals and identify savings opportunities for renewals, licensing, and services, Generate reports and dashboards for compliance and optimization purposes. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in software licensing to continuously improve the SAM program effectiveness. Named Job Posting? (if Yes - needs to be approved by SCSC)
