Aboout the Position:

A safety officer is responsible for ensuring a safe workplace by implementing and maintaining safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and guidelines as per legal requirements and implement it across the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-miss events; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees working at site.
  • Monitor operations to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for safety inspections, incidents, and training records.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and briefings.
  • Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including creating evacuation plans.
  • Responsible for development of team for route patrolling and incident management
  • Assist team in execution of ELV projects including surveillance cameras and access control systems.

Desired Skills and Qualities:

  • Familiarity with applicable local, state, and national safety laws and codes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and training abilities.
  • Ability to quickly respond to hazards and maintain operational continuity.

Requirements:

  • Education Qualification- Diploma (Fire and Safety)/ BE(Health and Safety) with Minimum 2 yeara of experience in similar field.
  • NEBOSH/CSP/OSHA Certifications would be preferred.
