We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in Spring Boot and REST API development, along with foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services and Databricks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power modern enterprise applications.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java Spring Boot and related frameworks.
  • Implement microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, modularity, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and data teams to integrate backend services.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices in object-oriented design.
  • Develop and manage API documentation .
  • Integrate applications with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and external services.
  • Deploy and manage services on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS).
  • Work with Databricks for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines (basic-level collaboration with data engineers).
  • Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and continuous integration processes.
  • Monitor application performance and optimize system resources for high availability and reliability.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java (8 or higher)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
  • Hands-on API design and development experience (RESTful services)
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and service-oriented design
  • Familiarity with AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, IAM)
  • Basic experience or understanding of Databricks, Apache Spark, or data processing concepts
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
  • Understanding of Docker and containerization (nice to have)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
