QA / Software Test Engineer (E-commerce, Web & Mobile)

Work Mode: Remote

Experience: 2–4 years

Duration: 3 months (extendable)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and execute test cases for web storefront) and mobile apps (React Native for iOS & Android).
  • Test backend APIs / ) for functionality, performance, and security.
  • Perform manual testing and create automation scripts where applicable.
  • Validate core e-commerce features such as product catalog, cart, checkout, payments, orders, inventory, shipping, and notifications.
  • Conduct cross-platform testing across different browsers and mobile devices.
  • Ensure seamless integration testing between backend, mobile, and web systems.
  • Document and track bugs using tools like Jira or GitHub Issues.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Verify deployment builds before releasing to staging or production environments.
  • Assist in defining and maintaining QA processes, test plans, and regression suites.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration, UAT).
  • Hands-on experience with testing web applications and mobile apps.
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, Swagger).
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks:
  • Web: Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
  • Mobile: Appium, Detox, or similar tools.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL for database validation (PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of tests.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub or GitLab for version control.
  • Knowledge of payment gateway integrations (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
  • Strong communication skills for effective issue reporting and documentation.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, k6).
  • Knowledge of security testing basics (authentication, session handling, input validation).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Previous experience in testing e-commerce platforms.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
