Sr. Manager - Data Integrity

1.Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Define data ownership and stewardship roles within the organization. Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations.

2.Oversee the entire data lifecycle from creation to disposal. Ensure data is properly archived and disposed of according to policies. Maintain data documentation and metadata

3.Proactively promote the use of data for decision-making and strategic planning. Provide guidance on data usage and best practices. Support data analytics and reporting initiatives.

4.Establish and monitor data quality metrics. Identify and resolve data quality issues. Implement data validation and cleansing processes.

5.Be the primary point of contact for data-related issues. Collaborate with IT, business analysts, and compliance teams to align data management practices with business objectives. Communicate data governance policies and procedures to stakeholders.

6.Provide training and guidance to employees on data governance principles, policies, and procedures. Raise awareness of data management best practices and their importance to business operations. Foster a culture of improved data integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

7.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data management. Continuously improve data governance frameworks and processes. Evaluate and implement new data management tools and technologies, while ensuring they are effectively integrated.

9.Ensure data is protected against unauthorized access and breaches. Implement data security measures and controls. Ensure regular data security audits and assessments.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP) are highly desirable.

1.At least 17+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field. Proven experience in leading data governance initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.

2.Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies, data quality management, metadata management, and data privacy regulations. Familiarity with data architecture and data modeling techniques. Ability to apply governance policies, standards, and procedures.

3.Experience in coal mining is highly beneficial. Understanding of mining-specific data requirements and challenges

4.Deep understanding of data sources, formats, and structures. Proficiency in data manipulation and transformation

5.Skills in data quality assessment and improvement techniques. Experience with data profiling, cleansing, validation, and enrichment. Proficiency in using data cataloging tools and metadata repositories.

6.Strong domain understanding of the organization's business processes and objectives. Ability to align data management activities with business needs.

7.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data issues and develop effective governance strategies

8.Excellent leadership and project management skills. Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

9.in-depth understanding of data privacy laws and standards (e.g., GDPR, DMBoK, DPDP, etc.) and their implications for data governance.

10.Excellent communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.

11.Experience in driving organizational change and fostering a data-driven culture

12.Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced agile environment with tight deadlines

13.A flexible, pragmatic and collaborative team player with innate ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
