Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize Power BI services in a large-scale enterprise environment. The candidate will focus on data connection setups, user management, governance, and security compliance, ensuring a seamless BI experience for end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain secure connections to on-premises and cloud data sources via Power BI gateways.
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding, roles, and access permissions within the Power BI environment.
  • Administer tenant settings, workspace access, and security policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user access and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to enforce data governance policies.
  • Monitor system performance, usage, and data refresh schedules, optimizing resources where necessary.
  • Automate routine tasks (e.g., user provisioning, license management) using PowerShell or scripts.
  • Perform regular audits of user roles, data access, and security compliance.
  • Support training and adoption for new users, while staying updated on Power BI features and releases.

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years of relevant IT/BI administration experience with at least 3+ years in Power BI administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway, and tenant management.
  • Experience with user and license management in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Azure Active Directory, SQL Server, and other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of enterprise-scale BI adoption and governance frameworks.
