Position: Restaurant Manager

Location: Sage & Lavender Bistro, Chennai

Reporting To: General Manager / MD

Role Overview:

The Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of Sage & Lavender Bistro, ensuring excellent guest experiences, smooth team coordination, and high operational standards. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to balance customer service, financial performance, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

· Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.

· Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

· Maintain ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant in line with brand standards.

· Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth supply chain.

Guest Experience

· Greet, interact with, and resolve guest concerns professionally.

· Ensure consistent high-quality service and food presentation.

· Monitor feedback and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

Team Management

· Supervise, train, and motivate staff (stewards, captains, baristas, and kitchen support).

· Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure optimal manpower allocation.

Conduct performance evaluations and guide staff development

Skills & Competencies:

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving approach.

· Knowledge of F&B operations, menu engineering, and food safety standards.

· Proficiency in MS Office, POS, and restaurant management software.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.

· 4–6 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

· Experience in a premium casual dining or bistro environment preferred.
