Role Overview

As a Performance Test Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of performance test activities, such as load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define performance objectives and success criteria, develop performance test scripts, and analyze results to identify optimization opportunities. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior testers and staying up-to-date with industry trends in performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution:
  Lead the planning and execution of performance test activities, including load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing objectives and success criteria.
• Test Script Development:
  Design and develop performance test scripts using industry-standard tools.
• Results Analysis & Optimization:
  Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and propose performance optimization strategies.
• Reporting:
  Create detailed performance test reports and present findings to project teams and management.
• Performance Issue Resolution:
  Work closely with development teams to address performance issues and optimize application performance.
• Industry Awareness:
  Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing and optimization.
• Mentorship:
  Mentor and coach junior performance testers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Technical Expertise:
  Utilize knowledge of GC, thread, and heap analysis to troubleshoot and optimize performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of GC, thread, and heap analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java/JavaScript, or other relevant languages.
• Strong SQL skills for database-related performance testing.

Test Tool Expertise:

• Experience with at least two performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad).
• Knowledge of web technologies including HTTP/HTML, web services, and true client protocol.

Cloud & Kubernetes:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for containerized environments.

Monitoring & Analysis Tools:

• Experience using AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Splunk for performance monitoring and analysis.

Test Scenario Development:

• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test scenarios.
