Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAS Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in statistical programming, data analysis, and data management, particularly in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical research industries. The SAS Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAS programs for data processing, statistical analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Create, validate, and maintain ADaM datasets, SDTM datasets, and TLFs (Tables, Listings, and Figures) as per SAP, Protocol, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work with clinical and healthcare datasets, ensuring compliance with CDISC SDTM and ADaM standards.
  • Perform statistical analysis using SAS procedures such as PROC FREQ, PROC MEANS, PROC LIFETEST, PROC UNIVARIATE, PROC SQL, etc.
  • Automate and optimize data pipelines using SAS, SQL, and other programming tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including statisticians, data managers, and business analysts, to develop data-driven solutions.
  • Conduct quality control (QC) and validation of SAS programs and datasets.
  • Document programming specifications, processes, and outputs for regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, data governance policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, attending sprint meetings and providing updates on project progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a SAS Programmer in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical research domain.
  • Strong expertise in Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Viya.
  • Experience with CDISC standards, including SDTM, ADaM, and
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (Redshift, S3, Athena) and big data technologies (HIVE, Impala, Databricks).
  • Experience with statistical methodologies and clinical trial analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
