Artificial Intelligence Senior Specialist

Position Description:

Employees in this job function are responsible for developing intelligent programs, cognitive applications and algorithms for data analysis and automation, leveraging various AI techniques such as deep learning, generative AI, natural language processing, image processing, cognitive automation, intelligent process automation, reinforcement learning, virtual assistants and specialized programming

Key Responsibilities:

• Agile personality and AI Engineering Craftsmanship mindset for leading and influencing an Agile team particularly for Enterprise AI Technology projects

• Should possess Capabilities to contribute to AI application development and model deployment project engagements

• Own end-to-end development of AI applications covering the complete AI/ML stack (data pipeline, model training, inference APIs, deployment, monitoring, AI application integration, database and security)

• Research new AI technologies, implements enterprise AI shifts and new trends impacting Ford AI application delivery

• Design and implement appropriate LLM selection for applications based on context window limitations, model capabilities, reasoning requirements, and business use cases

• Apply advanced prompt engineering techniques including zero-shot, one-shot, few-shot learning, chain-of-thought reasoning, thinking/reasoning patterns, and function/tool calling for optimal model performance

• Provides technical mentoring to fellow AI/ML Developers

• Conduct proof-of-concepts to support new AI features, ensure quality, timely delivery using Agile and MLOps practices

• Deliver valuable, working, tested, quality AI software released at market speed

• Collaborate directly and continuously with Product Managers, Data Scientists and Product Owners to prioritize deliverables geared towards a business and user value driven approach with continuous improvement and innovative mindset

• Interact with the FBS Ford IT teams in AI development, deployment and Support

• Understand and Collaborate with AI enablement/ITO/Engineering teams for support and adherence to Ford IT's AI architecture standards and processes within department as appropriate
• Ensures appropriate use of Ford IT AI processes, tools and methodologies within department

• Responsible for assessing AI model requirements for estimates on need basis

• Advocates corporate standards in AI solution development and implementation Must have skills:

• 7+ Years of overall IT Industry experience including, Strong AI/ML Analysis & Design & Good Hands-on exp. in development, in core Python, R or Scala, AI/ML libs (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and good understanding of ML design patterns

• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML model dev., MLOps & ML pipelines Development

• Experience in AI frameworks, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Computer Vision, NLP development in Cloud platforms

• Strong AI/ML model development & deployment skills, including REST APIs for ML inference, JSON/XML, Model Testing

• Experience in Enterprise AI technologies like Model Governance, Responsible AI, ML Security and Cloud based AI Securities

• Working Experience with AI Agent frameworks like Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen and Model Context Protocols (MCP)

• Working Experience with Open-source AI ecosystems

• Working experience in Generative AI technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs), GPT, BERT, prompt engineering, RAG systems, Vector search and Embedding techniques

Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design & Good Hands-on experience in development, in Python, core Java 8/11/17, EE technologies and design patterns

• Good exposure in RDBMS and SQL & experience in handling data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka etc.,

• Expertise in Source Control Repositories (GitHub/Others) and MLOps Tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC
• Expertise in AI model deployment platforms or equivalent (Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless AI platforms)

• Experience in AI Cloud Platforms like GCP AI Platform/AWS SageMaker/Azure ML. At least 1 public cloud AI experience (Azure AI, AWS AI or GCP AI)

• Strong Experience in troubleshooting during AI model deployment to Cloud Platform & resolve complex AI model performance challenges/issues

• Technical consulting ability to guide & handle the AI Application team

• Knowledge of Local AI deployment, on-premises model hosting, and hybrid AI architectures

• Experience in Enterprise SSO technologies like ADFS, AZURE-AD, SAML and Cloud based Securities
