Key Skills & Responsibilities:

Linux Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian).
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security hardening.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches.
  • Configure services: Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, SSH, DNS.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and DR strategies.
  • Use monitoring tools or custom scripts for server health.

AWS Cloud Administration:

  • Manage AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch.
  • Automate provisioning with Terraform/CloudFormation.
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerts.

DevOps & Automation:

  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Use Ansible for configuration management.
  • Containerize with Docker; manage clusters via Kubernetes (EKS/Kind).
  • Write automation scripts (Bash/Shell).
