JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Highly Technical & Industry Standard)

  1. Bridge Construction Supervision & Execution

  2. Execute and supervise construction of PSC girders, RCC girders, Box girders, Steel plate girders, Composite girders.

  3. Oversee foundation works such as piling, well foundation, open foundation, caissons.
  4. Monitor pile driving, bored pile construction, pile integrity tests, and ensure compliance with IS/IRC standards.
  5. Supervise pier cap, pier shaft, abutments, retaining walls, and wing wall construction.
  6. Handle shuttering, staging, formwork systems, scaffolding & centering operations.

  1. Girder Casting, Launching & Pre-Stressing

  2. Manage entire girder casting cycle including:

  3. Reinforcement checking
  4. Duct placement
  5. Strand threading
  6. Pre-stressing operations
  7. Elongation calculations
  8. Grouting process
  9. Coordinate I-girder, Box girder, U-girder fabrication.
  10. Supervise DM launcher / Launching Girder operations for girder launching.
  11. Ensure safety during heavy lifting & launching activities.

  1. Quality Assurance & Control

  2. Prepare and implement QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) for bridge works.

  3. Conduct and monitor tests:
  4. Cube tests
  5. Slump tests
  6. Rebound hammer
  7. Ultrasonic pulse velocity
  8. Pile load tests
  9. Ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH, IS codes for bridge construction.
  10. Maintain WIR (Work Inspection Requests), MIR, QC reports.

  1. Structural Steel Works

  2. Oversee fabrication and erection of structural elements like:

  3. Plate girders
  4. Trusses
  5. Bearings (elastomeric / pot / spherical)
  6. Expansion joints
  7. Ensure alignment, leveling, torqueing of bolts, weld inspection & welding NDT coordination.

  1. Coordination & Project Management

  2. Coordinate with Design Consultants, PMC teams, and Clients for approvals and clarifications.

  3. Prepare Method Statements, Lift Plans, Risk Assessments, and BAR bending schedules.
  4. Monitor progress using DPR, WPR, and master schedules.
  5. Manage subcontractors for bridge/structural works.

  1. Safety Compliance

  2. Implement bridge-specific safety standards, including:

  3. Height work safety
  4. Lifting operations
  5. Working over water
  6. Crane and launching girder safety
  7. Ensure full compliance with OHSAS/ISO safety protocols.

  1. Surveying & Leveling

  2. Proficient with Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS.

  3. Bridge alignment checks:
  4. Pier-to-pier alignment
  5. Bearing level checks
  6. Camber setting
  7. Deck slab survey and finishing levels.

  2. Prepare:

  3. DPR (Daily Progress Report)
  4. RFI (Request for Inspection)
  5. Site Checklist
  6. Client Billing support
  7. As-built drawings
  8. Concrete pour cards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in bridge construction
  • Experience in PSC girder bridges, steel bridges, box culverts, flyovers, and ROB/RUB structures
  • Knowledge of IRC Codes, MoRTH Specifications, IS Codes
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Pre-stressing
  • Launching girder operations
  • Piling & foundation systems
  • Shuttering & staging design
  • Structural steel erection
  • Experience working in National Highway Projects / Railway Projects / Metro viaducts
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel
  • Experience in coordinating with PMC, Consultants, and Clients

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,000.00 per month
